Awarded Federal Highway Administration Contract

was awarded and completed a contract to develop a RD-Linker
on the linkage between REDARS and DYNASMART-P programs
by FHWA of DOT, U.S.A.. RD-Linker is to study the possibility
of integrating the traffic impact information related
to REDARS earthquake into DYNASMART-P for dynamic network
simulation.
RD-Linker is a software tool that builds
a linker between REDARS and DYNASMART-P to integrate
the traffic impact information related to REDARS earthquake
into DYNASMART-P for dynamic network simulation in micro
level. Through RD-Linker, REDRAS's information will
provide the DynaSMART-P good information about the bridge
damage level so that traffic capacity can be accurately
calculated in the DynaSmart-P program. Taking the DynaSmart-P
is much advanced in simulating the traffic flow, and
the feedback information will improve the accuracy of
the REDARS's loss estimation based on the traffic congestions.
Through RD-Linker, the post-earthquake traffic data
simulated by REDARS can be compared with pre-earthquake
in the same study area in the DYNASMART-P with micro-level
traffic network simulation. In addition, RD-Linker contains
a standalone GTN viewer. This viewer provides fast graphics
rendering engine for both REDARS and DYNASMART-P data
display as well as provides an. independent way to analyze
the data quality and correctness through data visualization
